This week, the holes for the chapel’s foundation were successfully dug around multiple stormwater pipes, water pipes, septic pipes, power lines, and a fibre cable. Thankfully, we avoided all the water pipes, power, and fibre cables, allowing the building to continue being used by staff and church ministries. Though two pipes will require minor repairs, one stormwater, one septic. A silver lining is that we now know where the stormwater pipe is! Allowing us to connect the chapel to it, and so avoid having to establish a new sump elsewhere on the property.
The metal cage in the photo is the reinforcing steel for one of the two foundations that the internal steel portal will connect to.
