Something to Shout about

Untitled design (23)

After being delayed due to Cyclone Vaianu, this week has seen significant progress. The building paper has been installed, alongside the cavity battens, and door and window flashings. The cavity battens are designed to create an air gap between the cladding and the building’s structure, allowing any water that penetrates the cladding to drain and air out. The window flashings also serve to protect the framework from water around the windows and doors. But most noticeable is the roof installation. Once this is complete, the internal supports will be removed, allowing us to get an even clearer sense of what the internal space will be like.

More drone photos kindly taken by Paul Temperton are shared below. Please note that these were taken just before the roof installation began.

Please note: Being a construction site, there are many hazards that present health and safety risks. So we ask that you avoid entering the construction site unless you have been formally inducted.
