As the council will not allow us to site the classroom at right angles to the ministry center, we will have to find a way to site it parallel. However, this presents an issue as we have to contend with the location of the ministry center storeroom, septic tank, and associated drainage lines. The tight tolerances that result from this required us to confirm the exact location and depth of the main drain line. Today, this small victory has been achieved, and the unexpected depth of the drain has presented us with some new possibilities that we will raise with our architect. While the location of the drain has confirmed that we can make the classroom ‘fit’ the allotted space, it may be that the toilet and cloak bay portion will need to be removed.
