It would seem that planning to move a cottage is quite an involved process!
Today, the couple who have agreed in principle to take the cottage had their final meeting on site. This meeting was with the moving company and architect and it enabled a finalized moving plan to be agreed. While there are a few, small, final details to iron out before a formal contract is signed, we are just about there. We consider this to be a win-win-win; it’s a win for the church as it save us the demolition costs that we would otherwise have to absorb, it’s a win for the couple as they get a cottage for the cost of its removal, and it’s a win for the cottage itself as it is given a second life.
