For a long time, we’ve had an issue with the present septic drains that run the length of the ministry center. They’re unsightly, they protrude from a ministry center entrance/exit, and they are frequently damaged through being stepped/climbed on. Furthermore, their present location will likely be an issue when the time comes to connect the ministry center to the classroom via decking. However, by locating the precise location and depth of the main drain line from the auditorium, we have confirmed that we can remove the long septic line and replace it with a new line that is underground and connects with this main drain line. This resolves all the issues we have previously identified, and if we can coincide this work while other machinery is onsite we should be able to fix this issue reasonably cost-effectively. Thus, we have added this drainage work to the tendering documents for stage one of our building back better plan (image below)
